What makes Berries and Blooms unique is that we are extremely intentional with how we prepare our blueberries and raspberries to be picked.

Facts about growing blueberries

Our blueberries are pruned each year prior to the start of the growing season to improve the quality and the yield of the berry crop.

Blueberries require an acidic soil (ideal pH is 4.5) whereas many other crops such as vegetables require a pH of 6-6.5.

The wood chips that we apply annually help to keep the pH level at the ideal range for the blueberries.

We have an underground irrigation system at Berries and Blooms to deliver fertilizer and water to our berry crop. No matter how hot and dry the summer weather may be, the berries continue to receive the necessary water to produce plump and delicious berries.
